The middle issue is an exclusive limited edition.
Pop’Africana is printed in medium format and highly visually driven.

Pop’Africana was started in New York City, in Feburary 2008 by a group of friends from various areas of artistic expertise who were interested in a creating a new African publication that was of high standard that would serve as the Africana global book of style. “Pop” – because Pop’Africana is in the movement of the new African. Pop’Africana was created with the stylish individualist in mind. Pop’Africana is not a trendy magazine. Look to it for innovation and style.

THE EDITOR – MY HOMIE

Oroma Elewa is the founder and Editor of Pop’Africana magazine. She is also a photographer and occasionally contributes to the editorial pages of the magazine. Oroma shares her time between New York City and Port Harcourt, Nigeria. She loves Dar es Salaam, Tanzania where she finds that time slows down and the tranquility of the coastal city feeds her creativity. She plans on spending time in many African cities and hopes that Pop’Africana takes her all over Africa . She has a background in fashion design and plans on pursing media arts and communications.
