It’s not that often that I get hyped up about shows in Manchester. The decent ones can be few and far between, but this? Oh this is good.

Ramadanman – it takes almost a whole hand of fingers to count the amount of Ramadanman’s aka Pearson Sound aka Maurice Donovan’s aliases. I don’t need to sell this guy to you; a Fabriclive CD under the belt and his plethora of solid tracks on standout labels (Hessle, Soul Jazz, Hemlock) are all more than able to speak for themselves.

Illum Sphere – Manchester local Illum rarely needs an introduction – Red Bull Music Academy graduate, all-round nice guy, maker of music that reaches deep into the unknown and blends dark undertones with flurries of uplifting synths.

Jonny Dub – The man with the selections, Jonny has the perfect set for many-a-occasion. Looking forward to hearing this Manchester great in such a huge space; the Apollo better get ready for a beating!

The full line-up also includes Battles, Caribou, Star Slinger, Actress, Kelpe and the Now Wave DJs all under one large Manchester roof (O2 Apollo in Ardwick) on Saturday 4th June for £22.50. Can’t go wrong really!
