When he’s not eating peri peri chicken he’s making music, running his record label Moveltraxx and may or may not be about to create a pizzeria named after Joseph Marinetti named “La Jomar”.

Big Dope P’s ‘Hit Da Blokk’ EP was recently released on Nightwave‘s Heka Trax imprint so we thought it was worth while waxing lyrical in the DWT fashion with him. The guys so kind he even offered up his VIP refix and current weapon of choice 2 Chainz’s ‘Tellem’ as a DWT exclusive and free download which you can treat your e-crates to at the end.

Tell us a little bit more about your recent release and working with Nightwave & Heka Trax?

It’s called Hit Da Blokk EP and contains 6 tracks including collabs/remixed with Feadz, Rustie, Dj Earl (Teklife) and Ikonika. Nightwave is someone I love both on artistic and human levels. I made a remix on the first Heka Trax release too so I’m very happy to do this release with her. Also I received death threats from Slovenian mafia so I had no choice.

What was it like working with Feadz? Do your musical tastes line up well?

It’s always a pleasure to work with him, like Nightwave it’s someone I have a lot of love for. we remixed each other and made several tracks together that went well. We will probably end up doing a record together soon about ham dicer machines anyway…

If you could choose any other musical era to live when would it be and what you be doing/making?

I would just go back in time and save the world from Pitbull and FloRida.

Who would win in a fight – 2Chainz or T-Pain?

Titiboi just have to throw 1 or 2 lines to get anybody dying of laughter tbh.

Whats the toppings on your dream pizza?

Extra mozarella, extra mozarella and a bit of extra mozarella + loads of oregano.

What will Big Dope P be doing in the year 2069?

Minister-de-la-bass on the moon. Hope you will come visit me. It’s quite cheap via EasyJet.
