There really should have been a brave camera-person to hand when I got into work this morning and sluggishly opening up my browser with a latte I couldn’t even afford; only to be eye-raped by the monstrosity that is Jeremy Scott’s Adidas Originals AW12 campaign.

Jeremy I’m disappointed. Fall 2006 and the Snickers dress…this shit rocked my world. But WTF happened?

Yeah ok, the Adidas Originals pushed his name forward, and made his designs more affordable for the mainstream consumer but its so PASSE. It makes me sad. The first few collections for Originals were semi-appealing for a graphic print lover – world map and Africa inspired prints on creatively cut tracksuits…yadda yadda…and I would have never purchased, but even the wing and teddy bear sneakers gave me a few giggles in Office the first time round. But now it feels like some creepy guy incessantly asking me out for a drink on Facebook….SHIT PLATFORM, NO GAME. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – this collection is like the fashion designs world equivalent of Jedward. Makes you wonder how the fuck it got here. MULTI-COLOURED APPLE MAC KEYBOARD DRESS…groundbreaking stuff. Oh look, they even made a LONGCHAMP BAG. Might as well shut the design schools down, cos innovation has truly peaked.

One more round and I’ll shut the fuck up but just imagine this. A fully grown dude walking towards you, day or night, in a pair of sallopettes completely covered in fluffy teddy bears.

CASE CLOSED.
